Program Information

Spirations Institute is for women who desire to learn and practice the art of spiritual companionship, who desire to broaden their skills, and who wish to deepen their spiritual disciplines. We explore spiritual formation and guidance as grounded in a contemplative, integrative approach:

  • Drawing on the mystical wisdom of the world's great spiritual traditions
  • Honoring the dance of the Cosmic Story, the Personal Story, and the Community Story
  • Recognizing the whole of human experience as the revelation of the Sacred
  • Moving in the world with openness, grace and compassionate action
  • Nourishing the Woman Spirit
  • Valuing the art of sacred ritual

    • On-site learning experience is structured into nine quarterly retreats over two years. The program is grounded in an integrative body-mind-spirit experience and each weekend retreat mirrors this intention. Gatherings are held at a retreat center in Northeast Iowa.

    Distance Learning Experience

    In 2007, Spirations Institute will offer a similar program in a non-residential, distance learning format. A waiting list is forming. Please contact the Program Director for more information, or to place your name on the waiting list.
